Daryl was one of two children born to Gilbert and Bertha. When he was 9, his family moved from Ralston, NE to Wheatridge, CO. He graduated from Wheatridge High School and attended CSU, studying Horticulture. Daryl also served in the army. In 1968, Daryl married Helen M. Wheeler and lived in Arvada, CO for 53 years until they settled in Mead, CO in 2021.
Daryl worked in the nursery industry in Colorado all of his life. He owned Green Gallery Landscape, Inc. in Arvada and then later worked for Green Acres Nursery and James Nursery until he retired in 2002. He was also a prominent member of the Colorado Nursery Association, which included serving as a past president and becoming a lifetime honorary member.

He was a very talented self-taught guitar player and singer who wrote many of his own songs. An album he produced, titled “I Wanna Go” made its way to the top 45 on the Independent charts. He also performed with many groups over the years, including The Flat Iron Mountain Boys and Colorado Country.
Daryl is preceded in death by his father Gilbert and his mother Bertha. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen M. Hall, his daughter Susan R. Glenn (Mike J. Glenn) and his son Dean J. Hall (Julie K. Hall), his grandchildren Tyler M. Glenn, Annamarie S. Glenn and Quinn J. Hall, as well as his brother Cary Hall (Judie Hall).
