
Dave Friedman of Tomball, Texas, formerly of Longmont, joined his Lord October 28, 2006 while golfing at Tomball Country Club in Texas. He was 74.Dave was born on March 7, 1932 in Denver to Ben Friedman and Loretta Walla Friedman. He was raised in Denver, graduating from Denver North High School in 1950.Dave served in the US Navy. After serving he attended and graduated from the General Motors Institute in Detroit, Michigan. On March 21, 1969, Dave married Idie Kelly in Las Vegas, Nevada. He spent his entire career in the auto business. After completing his education, he returned to Colorado, joining the Al Will Buick Dealership in Longmont and later joined Hajek Chevrolet. He opened Cameo Motors on North Main, which he ran for a number of years. Never one to retire, he consulted independent used car dealerships in Longmont for a number of years before moving to Texas in 2002. Dave was a longtime member of Fox Hill Country Club, where he was active in the Men?s Golf Association. He was currently a member of the Tomball Country Club, where he was involved with the board of directors. He was a longtime member of the Terry Lake Boating Club, serving as Secretary/Treasurer for many of their years.Preceding him in death are his parents and a brother Jere Friedman and a granddaughter Emily Morris.Surviving are his wife Idie of Tomball, a daughter Kim Morris of Pinewood Springs and granddaughters Logan and Morgan Morris of Pinewood Springs and a sister Marilyn Friedman of Louisville. Services will be held at 5:30, Thursday, November 9, 2006 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel with David Bradshaw of LifeBridge Christian Church officiating.
