David E. Hardesty

David E. Hardesty of Erie, passed away February 23, 2015 at his home of natural causes. He was 58 years old. He was born August 18, 1956 in Loveland, Colorado to Ralph and Joyce Hardesty. He grew up in Boulder.David enlisted in the United States Air Force on Jan. 28, 1977 through Jan. 27, 1981, and then re-enlisted on Sept. 16, 1981 and was Honorably Discharged on Nov. 15, 1985 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was an excellent auto mechanic, working many years for Integrity Motors in Boulder.David is survived by his parents, Ralph and Joyce Hardesty of Longmont, one sister, Sharon Kelderman (Larry) of Erie, three children Sarah Baker (Justin), Matthew Hardesty, and Rhonda Witte; five grandchildren Michael and Branden Hardesty, Dalton, Devon and Gabryel Baker, one great-grandchild Nevaeh Baker and his former wife Kitty Hardesty.Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Front Range Christian Fellowship in Longmont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the David Hardesty Memorial Fund for his children and grandchildrens education. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
