Dawn Mae Lesser

Dawn Mae Lesser, of Greeley, died November 30, 2010 at her home. She was 71 years old. She was born on April 21, 1939 in Grant Township, Kansas, the daughter of Victor Melvin and Margaret (Adkins) Krom. Dawn married John Lesser, Jr. on February 16, 1957 in Longmont. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Altus, Oklahoma. Dawn Lesser was an extraordinary woman who was the glue that held her family together as she supported her husband , John, while he was serving this country proudly for 28 years. She and John were married for 53 happy years. She was the proud mother of two and grandmother of four.Dawn had many interests with her favorite being her grandchildren. She loved to read mystery books in her free time. During her creative moments, she made beautiful pieces with embroidery, counted cross stitch, painting and crocheting. She loved to make dolls and doll clothes for her granddaughters. Dawn loved to shop and had an impressive collection of purses. Dawn's greatest achievements and her medal of honor are her children and grandchildren who will continue to pass on the love and wisdom that she demonstrated throughout her life. She handed down her love of God to be carried out from generation to generation. Dawn was a woman that is loved by many. She was a ball of fun and got along with everyone. She was supportive and touched hearts wherever she went. God has taken home a precious soul and a jewel that will be missed greatly.Dawn is survived by her husband, John Lesser, Jr. of Greeley; her son, John D. Lesser; her daughter, Janet L. Freemyer; her brother, Ralph Krom; her sister, Mary Glaser and four grandchildren, Saesha Raker (Miranda), Catherine D. Lesser, Julie L. Lesser and William Miranda. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 4 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, Longmont with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will be 1PM Monday, December 6 at Ft.
