Dawn Jeanne (Constable) Storey was born October 3, 1971 at St. Francis Hospital in Maryville, Missouri to Donna (Chafa) and Jim Constable. Dawn lived in Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska as a young child, finally moving to Boulder, Colorado in 1974 with her family. Dawn went to elementary and Jr. High school in Longmont; and High School in Niwot. She attended the University of Northern Colorado earning a BA Degree in Business. She went on to earn her Master's degree from University of Phoenix. Dawn, at an early age, said she wanted to work in a bank and she went on to fulfill that dream. She worked part-time during college at Norwest Bank in Greeley then went on to work full time for Wells Fargo in downtown Denver. Dawn worked 23 years for Wells Fargo and thought of many of her co-workers and bosses as close friends and extended family.
Dawn married Michael Scott Storey on June 16, 2000 on Diamond Head Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii. After the ceremony there was a brief rain shower and a large rainbow appeared. The minister told them that it meant either lots of money or lots of children in their future. Their only daughter Sydney Donna Storey was born June 9, 2008. Dawn loved being a mom and attended Sydney's school activities and supported her school however she could.
Dawn loved playing volleyball and golf and was a big Bronco fan. She loved swimming, the beach, and camping. She loved going to the car races, shooting pool and playing cards. She roller skated, rode bicycles and skied. She also was an ""extreme shopper"" with shoes being her specialty.
Dawn, Mike and Sydney attended the Crossroads Church. When unable to attend in person, they ""attended"" services via internet, remotely.
Preceding Dawn in death were her grandfather Leo Chafa and grandmother Tina Constable and grandfather Bill Constable.
Dawn is survived by her husband Mike, her daughter Sydney; her mother Donna Stonebraker and husband Jim; her father Jim Constable and wife Cathie; brother Richard Hanley, sister Kelly Hanley, Grandmother Jo Chafa and Great-Grandmother Vivian Golly (both from Greenfield, Iowa.).
