Dayna Marie Wise was born in Boulder on February 20th, 1959, the third of Frank and Freda Soucie's five children. She lived for a brief time in Simi Valley, California with her family before moving back to Boulder in 1976, just before her senior year of high school. She graduated from Boulder High School in 1977, and went on to complete two years of college before taking a job at Rocky Flats. There she served in many different capacities, diligently working her way into management positions. But her ""top priority job"" was raising her children, Stephanie and Aaron in their Thornton home. In addition to her children, Dayna was blessed with two granddaughters, Brenna and Kyleigh, who became the light of her life and who always brought a smile to her face. Over the past 15 years Dayna has been battling end stage renal disease. But even in her grim situation, she brought cheer to her dialysis ""family"" when she would frequently show up with cheeseburgers for all! She persevered bravely, reaching her important goal of seeing her son graduate from college last December. Then on March 13, 2008, at the much too early age of 49, she was mercifully released from her burdened body. Our comfort, Dayna, is that your spirit can now soar again. Dayna is survived by her four siblings; Cindy, Jeanie, John and Michael, and predeceased by her parents. Services for Dayna will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Saint Theresa's Church in Frederick, Colorado at 10:00 a.m. followed by a lunch reception, then entombment at Mountain View cemetery in Boulder.
