
Deborah Howe Stuedemann passed away October 2, 2012 at the University of Colorado Hospital. She was 72.Debby was born July 19, 1940 in Davenport, Iowa to Mervyn John and Dorothy (Lohse) Howe. She went to Davenport High, graduated from Montecello Prep School in Alton, Illinois, and attended the University of Iowa for two years. While attending Iowa, Debby met and married the love of her life, James L. Stuedemann. Debby and Jim were married on March 29, 1961 in Davenport, Iowa. They had a very close and unmatched relationship that was envied by all. Together, Debby and Jim started Prime Plating--an electroplating and metal finishing business in Bettendorf and Des Moines, IA, and Wilton Steel Processing in Wilton, Iowa.Debby was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Davenport, Iowa, where she was also baptized and married. While attending the University of Iowa, she belonged to Kappa Kappa Gamma. Debby enjoyed boating (Driftin' Debby) on the Mississippi River and in Florida, golfing, painting, and playing Mahjong. Debby loved to have fun, and was a very social person who truly enjoyed her many friends. Most of all, Debby loved spending time with her husband, kids, and grandkids, with whom she had countless good times.Deborah was preceded in death by: her parents; her sister Linda Burrichter, who passed away just 11 days before her own passing; and her son-in-law Doug Souhrada.She is survived by: her husband Jim; her children Beth Souhrada of Longmont, CO, Becky Jones (Tom) of Mead, CO, Barry Stuedemann (Pam) of Geneva, IL, and Fritz Stuedemann (Cindy) of Appleton, WI; twelve grandchildren: Alexandra, Abby, Allison, Reilly, Raechel, Fred, Sophie, Charles, James, Morgan, Clara, and Leo; and her loving dog Kaiser.Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012, at 3:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church in Davenport, Iowa.
