Debra 'debbie' Dickinson

Debra Jean Dickinson departed from this life on Monday, October 6, 2008. She was 54 years old.She was born November 27, 1953, in Newburgh, New York to William Herbert Dickinson, Jr. and Dorothy Helen Stanton Dickinson. She grew up in New York until moving with her family to Boulder in 1965 where she graduated from Fairview High School.Debbie knew from an early age that she wanted to be a nurse, and had worked as a candy striper in Boulder as a young woman. She attended college in Montana and earned her nursing degree from Metro State in Denver. She worked as a registered nurse in Montana, and achieved her dream of working as a surgical nurse in Seattle, Washington, before moving back to Colorado in the late 1980s.She had an extensive collection of dolls, especially Barbies. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Longmont.Debbie is survived by a brother, William R. Dickinson and his wife, Wanda, of Longmont. She was preceded in death by her parents.Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services, Longmont.
