

Donna Marie (Danielson) Bower passed away peacefully in her daughter's home on December 28, 2018. She was born on December 12, 1945 to Clarence and Irma (Whiteside) Danielson in Loveland, Colorado. She grew up in Loveland, was a dedicated member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Loveland and graduated from Loveland High School. Donna married Robert Bower in 1971 and had two children, Rob and Jessica. The family moved to Longmont in 1981. After Robert's passing in 1982, Donna raised her children as a single mother, sacrificing to ensure that her children had the best life possible. Donna worked at The Bureau of Reclamation until the birth of her children, then spent many years as a stay at home mom. Donna later worked as a health clerk, secretary, and office manager at Rocky Mountain Elementary School in Longmont for many years until her retirement in 2011.Donna loved family above all else. She was her children's biggest fan, and loved her grandchildren fiercely. She was a constant presence in the lives of her family, and never missed a performance or game. She loved her extended family, friends, and community and was adored by many. She was funny, loved practical jokes and pranks, celebrated every holiday, and never missed a chance to spend time with those that she cared about. Donna was a talented crafter and loved nothing more than giving gifts to all around her.Donna is survived by her children Rob Bower (Sara) and Jessica Cooney (Jon); her grandchildren Jackson Bower, Brooklyn Bower, Alli Bower, Maya Cooney and Camden Cooney; sister Delene Dunham and a large and loving extended family including treasured nieces, nephews, and cousins. Donna is preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, and numerous extended family members.A Celebration of Donna's life will be held on Wednesday January 2 at 10:30 am at Faith Community Lutheran Church, 9775 Ute Hwy (Highway 66) in Longmont.
