Donna, a woman whose life was defined by healing, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family, passed away on February 28, 2026. Born on March 17, 1955, She carried the spark and spirit of her St. Patrick’s Day birthday throughout her life.
It is never easy to put into words the loss of someone who feels as though they were taken too soon. Donna had so many more years to see, to feel, to know. Her life was cut far too short, and the void she leaves behind is immeasurable.
On July 4, 1976, she married the love of her life, Robert Bryan. Their 49-year marriage was a testament to enduring love and commitment, and they were just months away from celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Being the wife of a man determined to carve his own path was not always easy, however, Donna prevailed with grace, resilience, and steadfast devotion.
In her early years as a mother, Donna was a devoted stay-at-home mom to her three daughters—Crystal, Jessi and Dawn. She even opened a daycare so she could remain present for her girls while still helping to provide for her family. That was who she was selfless, steady, always putting family first. She was the rock who held her family together, carrying her responsibilities with quiet strength and unconditional love.
Though she poured herself into motherhood, Donna always believed she was meant for something greater. After years of dedication and schooling, she became a registered nurse and went on to serve her community with compassion and skill, eventually retiring after 20 years of caring for others. Nursing was never just a career—it was who she was. She was a healer in every sense of the word.
Her greatest joy definitely came when she was promoted to her favorite title: “Grammie.” Her grandchildren were her absolute world. In 2015, her heart expanded even further when she became a great-grandmother. If you want proof of the love she poured into her family, you only need to look at her grandchildren—they knew her heart in its purest form.
After retiring in 2020, Donna and Robert finally had time to travel, explore, and enjoy life together, often accompanied by their two beloved dogs, Layla and Ranger. Whether on the open road or gathered in the middle of her loud, loving family, Donna’s warmth was the glue that held everyone together. Those were the years she truly earned.
She was strength. She was sacrifice. She was love. She was a healer, a wife, a mother, a Grammie, and a great-grandmother. And she was ours.
Donna leaves behind her devoted husband, Robert Bryan; her daughters, Crystal Luna (Alfonso), Jessi Jorgensen, and Dawn Rawlings (Christopher); her beloved grandchildren (Kain, Damien, Emma, Dane, Drake, Ava, Noah, Mason, Logan and Lane) and great-granddaughter (Bryleigh).
Her legacy lives on in every life she touched, every hug she gave, and every act of love she quietly carried out.
