Doris P. Oliver

Doris P. Oliver died December 29, 2013 at Longmont United Hospital. She was 91 years old.She was born November 2, 1922 in Lakeland, Florida to George and Fannie Mae (Williams) Phillips.On July 5, 1946 she married Herbert D. Oliver, Jr. in Atlanta, Georgia.Doris is remembered as a loving homemaker, always caring for her family. She and Herbert spent most of their life in the Lyndhurst/South Euclid area of Ohio, moving to Florida in 1986. Doris moved to Colorado in 2007, living first in Fort Collins and in Longmont since 2009.She was a member of Forest Hill Presbyterian Church in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Doris gave many volunteer hours to the Hillcrest Hospital in the Cleveland area.Doris had a love of music and was an accomplished and avid bridge player.She was preceded in death by her husband in 2006 and five brothers George, Herbert, Barry, Julius and Fred.Doris is survived by four sons Dean Oliver (Norma) of Hiram, Georgia, George Oliver (Vicki) of Longmont, Colorado, Brian Oliver (Peggy) of Fort Collins, Colorado and Todd Oliver (Janet) of Minnetonka, Minnesota, twelve grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.Memorial services will be held Friday, January 24th at 2:00 pm at Longs Peak United Methodist Church.
