Edward L. Ziolkowski

Edward L. Ziolkowski, III, of Longmont, died February 10, 2007. He was 39 years old.Ed was born February 7, 1968 in West Covina, California, to Edward Leon Ziolkowski, Jr. and Patricia Louise Hayden Ziolkowski. After graduating from high school in California, Mr. Ziolkowski enlisted in the US Army and served until his honorable discharge in 1988. He then earned an Associate of Science degree in electrical engineering from Rogue Community College in Grants Pass, Oregon.Ed began his career in electronics and printed circuit boards at SLC Technologies in Tualatin, Oregon. Since moving to Colorado in 1999, Ed has worked for various companies such as Cellport Systems, Corestaff, Tyco Healthcare/Valleylab, and Spectralink.On December 27, 2006, Ed married Judy Kay Cooper in Longmont.He enjoyed jet skiing and spending time in the mountains of Colorado. He loved restoring classic cars and dreamed of one day selling one of his meticulously restored cars at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction. He is survived by his wife of Longmont; his parents of Corpus Christi, Texas; a sister, Donna Hickman; a brother, Aaron Ziolkowski; three nieces, and two nephews. He is further survived by two daughters, Brittany Nicole and Brooke Nerissa Ziolkowski, and their mother Lori Thayer all of Canby, Oregon.Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary, Longmont. A memorial open house to celebrate Ed?s life will be held at Ragazzi Italian Grill, 1135 Francis St., Longmont, on Thursday, February 15 at 7:30 p.m.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ed Ziolkowski Memorial Fund, c/o Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St., Longmont, CO 80501.
