Ehrich was a devoted husband, proud father, and beloved son and brother. He was also a passionate athlete, gifted musician, spirited outdoorsman, fast car enthusiast, and lifelong dog lover. His sense of humor, quiet strength, and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
A member of the Longmont High School Class of 1985, Ehrich went on to play football for the University of Colorado. While pursuing his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, he served as a trainer for the team—an early sign of the care and dedication he would later bring to his medical career. Ehrich earned his master’s degree in Physician Assistant Practice from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, and went on to serve his patients in spine surgery with compassion and excellence for 28 years.
Ehrich is survived by his mother and stepfather, Carol and Dan Schack; his step-mother Carla Bean; his wife, Kim Bean; his son, Cody Bean; his great Aunt Ann Campbell; his brothers, Geoff and Bryan Bean, and Chris Schack; and his sister Toby Bean.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 18th, 2025 from 4 to 6 pm at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel; Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 19th at 10:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi, both in Longmont, CO. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Ehrich’s memory.
