

Eldon Ray Bevill, 75, Of Loveland, Co. died June 3, 2006, at McKee Medical Center, in Loveland, following a lengthy battle with cancer.Eldon was born in Philadelphia, Mo., on February 15, 1931, to Peerless S. and Jessie Pepper Bevill. He married Wanda L. Blincoe, on July 8, 1950 in Palmyra, Mo. Eldon worked at Motorola, as well as farming and trucking, and owned a service station in the small town of Steffenville, Mo.Eldon and Wanda and their young family relocated to Lyons, Colorado, in 1961, having discovered the area on one of several hunting trips to Colorado. Eldon was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish, as well as just spending time outdoors. Eldon started a roofing business, as well as purchasing and operating the Ranger Motel on Main Street in Lyons. The family operated a bait shop as well as the trailer park and apartments fondly known as the Chicken Coops. The family ran a Christmas tree business for several years, selling from the Dairy Queen Lot in Longmont. Eldon also worked at the Red Owl Bakery in Denver. Eldon purchased land and built and operated a trailer park in Silt, Co. After selling their various interests in Lyons, and Silt, they moved to Pueblo, Co., where Eldon worked as an operator for Denver and Rio Grande Railroad. They purchased a small farm West of Pueblo and raised Buckskin show horses, and also ran a hog feeding operation, which they sold at retirement. Eldon and Wanda relocated to Loveland in 2002, to be closer to their family, after selling the farm.Eldon, is survived by daughters Wanda Marlene French and Husband Ron, of Loveland, Teresa Ann Bade and her Husband Chris of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Lisa Kay Severance and her Husband Phillip of Loveland, sisters Ruth Scarber of Quincy, Illinois, Ruby Neisen, of Philadelphia, Mo, and Brother Herbert Bevill, (Jeanette), of Exeter, Cal, brother in law Vernon Miller of Quincy, Ill, sister in law Eileen Wiseman, of Farmington, Iowa, as well as 7 grandchildren: Anissa Jimenez (Mark), and Aimee French, Phoenix, Az. Allie French, Loveland, Glenda Sulivan (Mike), and Toni Hugie (Cecil) Cheyenne, Wyo., Amanda Demientieff, (Robert), Fairbanks, Alaska, David Severance, Brighton, Co., And 5 great grand children, as well as numerous Nieces and Nephews. Eldon was preceded in death by his Wife Wanda, in 2002, and both of his parents.Services will be held on Friday, June 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Howe Mortuary in Longmont with David Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow at the Lyons Cemetery in Lyons.
