Daughter of Golda and Thurman Ashford, born in Nodaway County, Missouri. Her family moved to Colorado when she was very young. Ella went to school in Westminster. She married Joe Masters in 1954, and in 1956 Joella (Masters) Opatril was born. They moved to Lafayette and had three more children, Bine, Clay and Kelly Masters.
Joe and Ella made a great life in Lafayette and traveled all over racing horses and attending rodeos. They won many accolades from the race track to the arena and were always known for their fast horses.
Ella is preceeded in death by her parents, husband Joe, sisters Betty Schofield and Pauline Alger. She is survived by their four children, many grandchildren and many great grandchildren, all of which she was very proud.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Meadows Event Center in Platteville, CO on May 6th, 2022 at 1:00 PM. Refreshments will be provided following a brief service. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com.
