Ellen Patricia Secor

Ellen Patricia Secor passed away July 12, 2012 at HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties in Louisville, Co. She was 82. She was born November 5, 1929 in Nyack, NY to John A. Sr, and Catherine G. (Pendergast) McKenna. She was the 6th of 8 children and attended Nyack High School where she participated in sports and Glee Club.She married her soul mate Donald E. Secor on February 19, 1950.Ellen enjoyed being with her family and friends, gardening, reading, current events, fashion, singing, and outdoor activities. She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.She was preceded in death by her husband Donald.Ellen is survived by her children Richard D. Secor of Longmont, Cynthia A Secor-Diktaban of Corpus Christi, TX, Cathleen E. Secor of Longmont, and Geoffrey T. Secor of Longmont; her grandchildren Jennifer Schabelnik of Lafayette, Sean Schabelnik of Longmont, Michael P. Secor of Riverview, FL, and Catherine A Diktaban of Austin, TX; her brothers Conrad M. McKenna, John A. McKenna, Jr., George A. McKenna of Cooperstown, NY and Joseph J. McKenna of Tappan, NY; her sisters Mary C. McKenna, Mercedes A. Flounlacker, and Doris E. O'Neil of Tappen, NY.A gathering of friends will take place 6-8pm Thursday July 19, 2012 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. A Memorial Mass will take place 10:30am Friday July 20, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Memorial contributions to HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties. Cremation at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
