Eric grew up in Boulder and graduated from Boulder High in 1995. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from CU Boulder in 2000. For 17 years, Eric worked in manufacturing and quality assurance in the biopharmaceutical industry.

Eric’s fabulously witty sense of humor was a cornerstone to his personality – a characteristic we will all dearly miss. He was a baseball player, football fan (Broncos and CU Buffs) and wagering enthusiast. Eric would bet you a pin, an earring or bowling ball even if he didn’t think his team would win. In his free time, he enjoyed skiing, fastpitch baseball, and camping, but most of all spending time with his children.
Eric is survived by his wife Susan and his two children Katelyn and William. He is further survived by his mother Kathleen Ludwig; his older sister Jennifer Hufford (Brett); older brother Jon Ludwig; younger sisters Christina Ludwig (Marius Chirila) and Sonia Ludwig (Robert Pearson); as well as many nieces and nephews.
