Evelyn "Oma" Louise (Severns) Josephsohn

Evelyn was born on February 9th in Fort Collins, Colorado. She was raised by her loving and joyful mother, Eulalia Severns. She was the middle of six children and adored her siblings. She was raised in Fort Collins, Colorado, and graduated from Longmont High School in Longmont, Colorado.

Evelyn married the love of her life, Ralph Josephsohn, in Longmont, Colorado, on August 25, 1978. They made their home in Longmont where they raised their five children. In addition to being a mother, she was a title examiner and closer at various title companies.

Evelyn was an easy woman to love, with her warm smile, generous heart, and loving nature. One of her greatest joys was being Oma to her fourteen grandchildren. She also enjoyed quilting, being in the handbell choir at church, singing, traveling, putting together puzzles, celebrating holidays and special occasions, caring for her dogs, and spending time with family and friends.

Evelyn is survived by and will be dearly missed by her husband, Ralph of Longmont; children Sonja (Michael) Donahue of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Lisa (Michael) Waterman of Bozeman, Montana; Nathan (Emily) Josephsohn of Boston, Massachusetts; Rebekah (Matthew) Opal of Longmont, Colorado; Anna (Russ) Johnson of Salida, Colorado; as well as her beloved grandchildren David, Amber (Brendan), Olivia and Emily Donahue; Laura, Daniel and Meredith Waterman; Harper and Campbell Josephsohn; Genevieve and Heather Opal; Kyndra, Kaylee and Madelyn Johnson; and countless friends that she loved like family.

Evelyn’s celebration of life will be held on September 27, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Longs Peak Methodist Church, 1421 Elmhurst Dr., Longmont, CO 80503. Reception to follow in the fellowship hall.
