Evelyn Dawn Rush

Evelyn Dawn Rush died at Longmont United Hospital on Saturday, December 9, 2006. She was 66.Evelyn was born on October 30, 1940 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Victor Woodrow and Emma Jean (Hurley) Bowman. She grew up and attended school in Kalamazoo. She later lived in California and moved to Longmont 11 years ago.Evelyn was married October 24 1981 in Garden Grove, California to Michael Lynn Rush. She and her husband owned a concrete business for 14 years in California. Recently, Evelyn worked at Cinnamon Park as a cook and enjoyed working with and for the elderly residents. She was interested in current events, world affairs and read the newspapers, enjoyed interior decorating, collected angels and Thomas Kinkade paintings, and taking care of everyone around her.Her parents; a brother, Ronald L Thomas; and a sister, Stacey Kay Spiegelberg, preceded Mrs. Rush in death.Evelyn is survived by her husband of Bradenton, Florida; two sons: Scott Allen Carlson of Longmont and Jeffrey Lane Gooch of Longmont; a daughter, Dawn Martinez and her husband Greg of Longmont; two brothers: Clinton E. Bowman and his wife Suzy of Fort Myers, Florida and Victor W. Bowman and his wife Sharon of Vicksburg, Michigan; a sister, Donna Enright and her husband Patrick of Longmont; seven grandchildren: Madeline, Christopher, Tara, Kelly, Danielle, Jessica, and Stacey; and seven great grandchildren.Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 14 at 3:00 p.m. at Howe Mortuary Chapel with David Bradshaw officiating.
