Frances Romilla Bryson

Frances R. Bryson, 77, of Longmont, died July 7, 2010 at Peaks Care Center. Frances was born September 19, 1932 in Walsenburg, Colorado the daughter of Frank and Enid (Foote) Phillips. Frances graduated from Pueblo Centennial High School, a most pleasant time of her life. On June 9, 1951 she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Benny Eugene Bryson. Tragically, Benny died at a very young age on January 7, 1958. With four young children to raise, Frances went back to school. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics from Colorado State University. Following her graduation she went to work with the University of Missouri and various counties in the State of Kansas as an extension agent. In 1970, she brought her family back to Colorado where they settled in Longmont. There, she was employed by Longmont United Hospital as a dietician assistant.Frances was an extremely talented seamstress. She loved to bake, garden and refinish furniture. She loved to read but mostly she loved each of her grandchildren dearly.Her parents, her husband, her son Benny Paul Bryson and a son-in-law Glenn Johnson preceded her in death.Survivors include her son Daryl (Michelle) Bryson of Clinton, Massachusetts and his daughters Nicole Bryson of Mansfield, MA and Laura Bryson of Montreal QC, Canada; her daughters Chris (John) Arnaud of Longmont and their children Noelle and Luc Arnaud and Kim Johnson of Longmont and her children Eli (Elizabeth) Johnson and their son Bryson Johnson of Westminster, Maryland, Clayton (Rhianna) Johnson and their daughter Ainsley Rose Johnson of Longmont and Sophia (Caleb) McKean of Longmont; her brother Jimmy (Sondra) Phillips of Sun City, CA and her sisters Diana (Joe) Mori of San Ramon, CA and Virginia (Bill) Thompson of Beulah, CO. Graveside service and interment will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 12, 2010 at Imperial Memorial Gardens, Pueblo, Colorado.
