

Frances Eleanor Nichols, age 93 of Longmont died Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Longmont United Hospital. Mrs. Nichols was born May 6, 1920 in Chariton, Iowa to Carl and Floy Eleanor (Young) Allen. Frances graduated from high school in Chariton. On August 19, 1944 she married Rex Gene Nichols in Kansas City, Missouri. The young couple moved to Longmont in 1952. Frances worked for over 20 years at Longmont National Bank. Upon her retirement Frances held the title of Operations Officer and Assistant Cashier. She was a lifetime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, as well as a member of Central Presbyterian Church of Longmont.
Survivors include two sons; William Nichols and his wife Carol of Crestone, Colorado and Kenneth Nichols and his wife Carol of Loveland and one daughter, Janice McLees and her husband Jeffrey of Longmont. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Matthew Williams (Jennifer Arts) of Longmont and Hannah Behrens and her husband Corey of Boulder. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers; Fred, Bob, Keith and Jack Allen.
Graveside services will be Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Foothills Garden of Memories in Longmont.
