

George “Ron” French, 77, of Loveland passed away at Pathways Hospice inpatient on March 26,2022 after a lengthy health battle. He was born January 25th, 1945, to George H. and Grace E. (Snyder) French a pioneer family of Lyons, Co.
He attended school in Lyons and graduated Lyons Sr High in 1963. After graduation Ron worked for Rustic Built before being called into military service in September 1965. Ron served in the Army for two years overseas in Korea. After returning home in July 1967, he returned to work for Rustic Built where they built log cabins in and around the Lyons area.
On May 31, 1968, he married Wanda “Marlene” (Bevill) French in Lyons. In 1969 Ron joined the Boulder County Sherriff’s Department where he was a deputy in Lyons through 1972. In 1972 Ron began to work for Wood Brothers Homes in Loveland, CO. This is where they would reside and raise their two older daughters Anissa born April 1969 and Aimee born December 1972. Ron worked his way up to supervisor when Wood Brothers was bought by Richmond American homes in 1986. He stayed on with Richmond which led him to move to Phoenix, Az in December 1990, in 1991 their youngest daughter Allie was born. As the new division president for Richmond American Ron started and built lasting friendships, connections, and a legacy that will never be forgotten. During his time with Richmond American Ron helped multiple Charities and individuals and was involved in assisting the Home Builders Association with Project Playhouse. Ron continued to build his legacy when he began working for Meritage Homes in 2004 as the Division President. He continued to cultivate the growth of the valley with homes and grow and develop connections and a reputation among his coworkers. Ron officially retired to Loveland, Co in 2009, his drive and passion however did not stop just because he was no longer “working.” Ron along with his wife and youngest daughter built their final family home in 2014. This home is something Ron was very proud of and was happy to say, “it was the last home I will ever build.”
George is proceeded in death by his parents George H and Grace E. (Snyder) French; sister, Susan K Horst; brother, Johnny “John” French; niece, Wendy Moe.
He is survived by his wife Wanda “Marlene” (Bevill) French and three daughters, Anissa French-Jimenez and Husband Mark of Texas; Aimee French-Krogman and husband Todd Krogman of Texas; Allie French of Loveland; Four grandchildren, Dustin French and girlfriend Abi of Fort Collins; Celina Jimenez of Texas; Nick Jimenez and girlfriend Rocio of Nebraska; Alexis “Lexie” Sovero of Texas; four step grandchildren, Frederick Sovero and his wife Lucie of Arizona; Dellaraye Sovero of Arizona; Johnny Sovero of Arizona; Marissa Krogman of Colorado; One Great Grandchild, Aceson of Nebraska; two step great grandchildren, Alyssa and Abner of Nebraska; Brother Ed French and wife Debbie of Missouri; two sisters, Cindy Moe and husband Dennis (deceased) of Longmont; Trudi Clark and husband Loni of Berthoud; One Sister in-law, Rhonda French and husband John (deceased) of Loveland; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday April 1, 2022 with visitation one hour prior all at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Burial at Lyons Cemetery.
