There are so many fond memories that come to mind when I think about Uncle Gary from the growing up years to the years he helped us out when we lived in Longmont for a couple years. He was managing a tire store in Gary Indiana in 1966 when I graduated from high school. How cool it was to get a set of tires as a graduation gift. They were the first I'd ever seen a with a double thin white walls with a blue stip in the middle. I enjoyed going through Longmont if I was headed west to enjoy his and Aunt Judy's hospitality and watching their family grow up. One of the saddest parts of his loss was only a caretaker was allowed at his bedside has he took his last breath. A lot of his Bruceville friends and classmates knew him as "Jump", as it was back then to be known by memorable experiences. I'm sure you were welcomed home once again. 

We are so sorry to hear about Jerry's passing.  We sure had big shoes to fill when we bought the shop he owned and nurtured for so many years.  Customers still asked about Jerry often even after time passed by so you know he was missed.  We wanted you to know we are thinking about you and praying for peace for you and your family at this difficult time.

I’m so deeply sorry for your loss.  Jerry was one of the kindest people and always had such nice things to say to me.  I remember often of my Mom and I coming to see you at the shop and how sweet Jerry always was to me and how thankful my Mom & Dad were to have such wonderful friends in their lives.   I also have so many fond memories of visiting you and Jerry at your house, and spending time with Cynthia and Cathy.  I’m so incredibly blessed that the friendship that you and my Mom had, has now been passed on to the friendship and sisterhood that I have with Cynthia (and that our daughters have).  
I pray that God will continue to bless you and to give you strength and hope during this very difficult time.  I am sending hugs and my love to you, Cynthia and all the family.

Judy and Family,  It's hard to find the words to tell you how sorry I am for your loss.  The kindness you showed my son Ron when he worked for you is something I will never forget. It was the happiest time of his life. He looked forward to every day.  The calm and quiet way Gerry handled everything made the job  almost like a second home to him. I am so glad you two were able to spend so much time together after he sold the shop. I  am glad Ron passed before Gerry as this would have been very hard for him to deal with.  May you all find peace in your time of grief. 


Where do I begin, with memories of Jerry? I feel like he was always part of my life. He acted as a second dad when us kids got into mischief, he rescued me too many times to count when my little Volkswagen beetle was on the verge of breaking down, and was always there with an open heart and a smile. Judy, we are thinking of you in this time of sorrow. We hope that all of your memories of a dear Jerry bring you peace. We love you!

I am so sorry for the loss of Uncle Gerry.  He was a good friend to our family and he will be dearly missed. Sending love and prayers to all of you.

We were sad to read about Jerry's passing.  Know that we are holding you all in our hearts.  We remember what a very kind man Jerry was.  He was always so helpful to us when we needed to use his business.  We remember fondly what a great father he was too.  His girls were great babysitters for us all those many years ago.  May your memories of a good life bring you joy.

BJ and I would like to offer our condolences to Gerry's family.  Gerry took care of our vehicles for years and was a customer of mine at the hardware store.  Jerry was the epitome of a gentlemen. 

I am a next door neighbor and friend of Jerry and Judy for over 10 years. Jerry loved to work in the garden, tinker repairing a multitude of things and most of all have Judy join him as they waived to passersby and enjoyed a beautiful spring or summer day.. We dubbed him “the Mayor”.     Judy....I am so sorry you are going through such a difficult time. But I know you have a lifetime of wonderful memories and those will sustain you as will your family.

I've got so many good memories of Judy and Jerry that I wouldn't know where to start.
Jerry's life was one that was well lived and he'll be sadly missed by Judy and his children and by Fred and I.

I am so sorry to hear about Gerry’s passing. I wanted to share my favorite memory of you both when you watched my kids for me about 10 years ago at my mom and dads house. You both looked pretty scared to look after my 5 and 1 year old but you did great and left Ella with a fond memory of you and a friendship that started when you crocheted her that pretty throw blanket. I wish I could hug you and hope wish you the best during this hard time.

We're so sorry for your loss Judy, Cynthia and family. I remember seeing Jerry at his shop, he was always friendly. And of course any time I came to stay the night with Cynthia, he was never upset to have teenage girls being loud in his house. He was soft spoken and friendly, that's what I remember about Jerry. He'll be missed by many. Our condolences to his loved ones.

Uncle Gary was my last living uncle. He use to take me to county fairs and spend time with us when I was very young. I could never pronounce his name Gerald so he was always Uncle Gary to me. I haven't seen the boys since they were little luckily Cynthia and her awesome kids are in our lives. My deepest sympathy to you. Love and Hugs Shelley

I would like to share one of the nicest memories I have of Jerry. It  is when Judy was teaching me how to weave in the basement of their home.  Jerry was always the welcoming committee greeting me at the front door.  Sometimes the weaving lessons would last until lunch time.  Jerry would come downstairs to see how things were going.  He would offer to take our lunch orders and would be our "Grubhub" driver before there was  Grubhub.  When Judy and I would come upstairs Jerry would have the table set for three and would join us for lunch.  He would pour us lemonade or iced tea and we would share stories of our kids and grandkids.      Jerry loved his wife and my dear friend Judy.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

I’m very sorry for your loss.  It has been a long time, but I do remember getting tires and alignment advice as well as  some visits with my mother, Suzanne Cain.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
