

Gerald (Jerry) A. Perry, passed away on September 8, 2024, in Longmont, CO. He was born June 1, 1938, in Utica, N.Y, to William G. and Florence Perry. Jerry grew up and attended schools in Utica, N.Y.
Mr. Perry served in the U.S. Navy. He was honorably discharged in 1959. In 1958, Mr. Perry was employed in support of the Lebanon crisis during the time period 15 July to 4 September 1958, aboard The USS BOSTON CAG 1. On July 11th 1970, he married Marjorie L. Wiscup in Denver, CO. The family moved to Longmont in 1974, with his job at IBM. He spent 20 years until his retirement. Mr. Perry was a past commander from 1996 – 1997 and from 1997 – 1998, he spent a year as chaplain and a year as adjutant, all with the American Legion Post 32. He also was a life member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars Longs Peak Post No. 2601, and a life member of The disabled American Veterans Longmont Chapter No 16.
He survived by a son, Gerald W. Perry, his children; Dylan Perry, Brittny Perry-Hollenbach, and Katie Ricci, Step Grandchildren: Justin Distel, Chelsea Distel, and Sarah Distel.
Burial will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave in Denver, CO, on Tuesday September 24, 2024, at 10am, the Celebration of Life for Gerald will be held on Tuesday September 24, 2024, at 1:30pm, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
