Glen Stephen Dimzoff passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Born on August 11, 1949, Glen was the eldest of four children to George and Doris Dimzoff. He spent his formative years and early adulthood in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, where he quickly stood out for his drive, ambition, and love of adventure.
Glen’s life can truly be described as the tale of two lives. The first was marked by relentless energy and an unyielding sense of purpose. Glen had a natural knack for business and entrepreneurship and poured himself into a business that he built from the ground up & turned it into a very successful printing company. He was the kind of person who never shied away from a challenge – whether it meant working long hours or taking on a grueling athletic competition. Glen competed in multiple triathlons, pushing his physical and mental limits in ways few others dared; these traits proved crucial in the next chapter of his life.
A traumatic motorcycle accident left Glen with a grueling and difficult road to recovery filled with setbacks, but Glen faced each day with the same determination that had carried him through so many previous challenges. Through sheer grit and unwavering faith, he surpassed every expectation, inspiring everyone who witnessed his journey. This chapter may not have been as outwardly daring, but it was deeply meaningful. Glen poured his energy into what mattered most now: his faith, his family & his friends. He found fulfillment in the simple joys of daily life and becoming a man at peace, devoted to his love for his granddaughters. Though Glen was imposing in stature, he was known for his humility, kindness & gentle spirit.
He is survived by his son, Denny Dimzoff & wife, Ronda of Frederick, CO; his sister, Diane Gadd, & husband, Scott of Colorado Springs, CO; his brother, George Dimzoff of Denver, CO; & granddaughter, Sara Dimzoff of Frederick, CO.
Glen was preceded in death by both his parents, George Stephen & Doris Elaine Dimzoff, along with his brother, Roger Dean Dimzoff, and granddaughter Elizabeth Rose Dimzoff.
Glen’s story is one of resilience, courage, and deep love – a legacy that will be cherished by all who know him.
A celebration of life for Glen will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St., Longmont, Colorado 80501.
