Gloria P MacDonald

Gloria Irene Peck MacDonald, formerly of Littleton, Colorado, passed away January 17, 2022 at the age of 90 years, at Atria Senior Living in Longmont, Colorado.

Gloria was born February 7, 1931, in Englewood, New Jersey, to Laura and Jesse Peck.

Gloria graduated from the University of Vermont, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She received her Master Degree from the University of Northern Colorado.

Gloria was a schoolteacher by profession. She taught and substituted many grade levels. She also taught High School Latin in Colorado Springs. Gloria retired from teaching 6th Grade at Greenwood Elementary, in the Cherry Creek School District.

Some of Gloria's favorites in life were: playing bridge, playing golf, traveling, and the Denver Broncos. She always enjoyed the Littleton Western Welcome Parade, the Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Pool Parties, Bourbon Slush parties, Brunch with family, and FAC with her many friends. She loved the music of Perry Como, John Denver and Alex Beaton.

Gloria is survived by her daughter Debbie MacDonald and her husband Garnet Heyer, of Firestone, granddaughter Melissa Cameron Sattler and her husband Paul Sattler, and 4 great grandchildren, Declan Murphy, Rhys, Raleigh, and Poppy Sattler, of Berthoud.

Gloria was predeceased by her husband Lee MacDonald, her parents, and one brother, Robert Peck.

A short service, provided by The Daughters of the Nile, will be held at 12 noon Friday, June 10, at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd, Denver, Co. 80235, Staging Area A. Please arrive to join the processional vehicle line up by 11:50 pm.

Gloria's Life Celebration FAC (Farewell And Cheers) will follow at 1:15 at Angelo’s Taverna, 6885 S. Santa Fe Drive. RSVP is required. Please contact Debbie MacDonald.
