

Gloria was born on August 15, 1931 to Robert Hamilton and Blanche Slack Hamilton. She was a Longmont, Colorado native who graduated from Longmont High School in 1949. She had one child, Mickey Hawkins, who gave his life serving in Vietnam. Gloria found her forever love later on in life and married Richard Westbrook on November 6, 1975. Richard passed away in 2018.
Gloria was a talented seamstress. She worked for Warhawk Campers sewing curtains and for Marlowe’s Dry Cleaners doing alterations. She also crafted beautiful porcelain dolls, hand-sewing their little clothes. She would often donate the dolls to charitable functions. Gloria was a great bowler, winning numerous trophies in her prime. She also enjoyed dancing on occasion. She was a charter member of the Women of the Moose, the American Legion Auxiliary and was a Gold Star Mother.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Richard Westbrook; beloved son, Mickey Hawkins; parents, Robert and Blanche Hamilton; brothers, Gerald Hamilton, Donnie Hamilton, and Robert Hamilton; and sister, Phylis Daniels. She is survived by her nephews, Bart Daniels of Loveland, CO, Steve Hamilton of Lakeside, CA, and Jim Hamilton of Naples, FL; nieces, Nancy Nicoletti of Corinth, TX, Zola Hansen of Austin, TX, and Anne Hamilton of Carson City, NV; her sister-in-law, Belle Hamilton of Naples, FL; and numerous grand nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service was held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont, Colorado and Gloria was laid to rest with her husband, Richard, and her son, Mickey, at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
