Grace Mary Martinez

Grace Mary Martinez, 69, of Longmont, Colorado, died Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Longmont United Hospital.Grace was born August 23, 1938 in Gardner, Colorado, to Manuel and Abelina (Martinez) Archuleta. On December 14, 1957, Grace married Cifredo Efren Martinez in Longmont. Mrs. Martinez worked at Longmont Foods for 25 years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, and enjoyed shopping and interior design. Grace's family was very important to her, and she cherished time spent cooking and visiting with family, especially her grandchildren.She is survived by her husband, Cifredo Martinez of Longmont; son, David Martinez of Denver; daughters, Shirley Chavez and Rosemary Nieto of Longmont; and two sisters, Anita Martinez and Rose Escolante of Longmont. She is further survived by eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Anthony Archuleta; and two sisters, Margaret Garcia and Irene Olvera.Visitation will be held at Howe Mortuary on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary/Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Longmont.
