

Harold ""Hal"" E. LehfeldtHal Lehfeldt 77, passed on Tuesday June 9, 2009 leaving a large family to miss him.Hal was born July 18, 1931 in Helena, Montana. He was the youngest of 9 born to Bernard and Pearl Lehfeldt. He grew up in Helena, Montana. He was in the U.S. Navy and served from July 1951 to November 1953. He was a Sea Bee during the Korean war. He married his highschool sweetheart Marla R. Marlatt on September 1, 1950. He worked for the telephone company, U.S. Postal Service, Kaiser Permanente Cement and finally he retired from Southwestern Portland Cement in Salt Lake City, Utah and Lyons, Colorado. Hal and Marla's family was complete with their children Brenda, Amy, Paul and Lisa. Hal was an avid outdoors man, teaching his children and grandchildren to love and respect Mother Nature. Hal also, enjoyed writing poetry for family and was published in many volumes of The National Library of Poetry. As the years went on Hal found a great interest in the culinary arts. He was well known for finding a good recipe and ""tweeking"" it into his own. Hal is survived by his wife of 58 years ""228 Seasons"". His four children; Brenda (Harris) Lehenbauer of Longmont, Colorado; Amy (Jeff) Brown of Hagerman, Idaho; Paul (Laura) Lehfeldt of Phoenix, Arizona and Lisa (Randy) Young of Greeley, Colorado. He is also, survived by 14 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and one granddaughter. A private family celebration will be held.
