Obituary Notice

Howard Watts of Longmont died on January 2, 2019 at Longmont United Hospital. Howard was born October 17, 1943 in Alexandria, VA to Elsie and Howard Watts, Sr. He married Barbara Watts in Oxen Hill, MD. They divorced after 30 years but remained close. Howard served in the United States Navy from 1962-1964. He was then employed by the Federal Government as a Federal Police Officer first in Washington, DC and then in Denver, CO. After nearly 25 years of service, he retired from his position. Howard then ventured into his own business repairing electronics and installing and maintaining security alarms that he ran with long time partner and wife, Eileen Riewe.

Preceded in death by parents and a brother, Charles Watts.

Survived by son and daughter-in-law Craig and Cheryl Watts of Stow, OH, son and daughter-in-law Howard and Carole Sprouse of Alexandria, VA, and daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Joseph Hsu of Noblesville, IN; 6 grandchildren Cody Watts (Ohio), Connor Watts (California), Dawson Hsu (Indiana), Christopher Carroll (New Mexico), Cristina Sprouse (Florida), and Tyler Sprouse (Florida).

The service will be held at Foothills Garden of Memory on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Longmont Humane Society at 9595 Nelson Road, Longmont, CO 80501 / (303) 772-1232 / www.longmonthumane.org in honor of Howard Watts and his best friend “T”. They have a memorial set up in Howard’s name.
