

Iva Louise Green, age 80 of Frederick, Colorado died Saturday, May 25, 2013 at her residence. Iva was born April 6, 1933 in Golden, Oklahoma to Clyde and Candace (Milligan) Gilbert. She worked as a daycare provider and owned her own daycare business. Iva was an excellent seamstress and collected thimbles from all over the world, with over 400 thimbles in her collection. She was a huge George Strait fan and enjoyed listening to country and Christian music. Iva loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and made the best lemon meringue and coconut cream pies. Iva had lived in Frederick for the past 7 months, having moved there from Mountain View, Oklahoma, where she had lived for 35 years. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include; 3 sons, Don Green and his wife Teresa of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Rick Green and his wife Patty of Fort Morgan, Colorado and Scott Green and his wife Stephani of Broomfield, Colorado; 2 daughters, Karen Myers and her husband Bob of Frederick and Janet Skaggs and her husband Kenneth of Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma. In addition, Iva is survived by 2 brothers, Billy Gilbert of Valliant, Oklahoma and Phillip Taylor and his wife Kay of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; 1 sister, Verna Bacorn of Bakersfield, California, 2 stepsisters, 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive, including her favorite niece Polly Blount and her husband Wesley of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Iva was proceeded in death by her parents.
Memorial services are scheduled for Friday, May 31, 2013, 3 p.m. at the Rocky Mountain Christian Church Niwot campus, with Pastor Cris Crisfield officiating. Services will conclude at the church. Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary.
