Jack Ernest Lesser Jr.

Jack Ernest Lesser Jr., 85, of Longmont, Colorado went home to the Lord on July 27, 2019. Born on November 12, 1933 to Jack Ernest Lesser Sr. and Ethel Lesser (Elgin), who preceded him in death in 1963, he was a second generation native of Longmont. He met Sue Anne Dodd and they were married on September 21, 1952. They had three children, Steve, Dennis, and Jacque. Sue Anne preceded him in death on December 28, 1986. He found love again with Helen Nadine Johnson Evans and they were married on June 12, 1992. Nadine had three children as well – John, Chuck, and Karen. Nadine preceded him in death on August 16, 2015. Chuck also preceded him in death on July 18, 2019. Jack had two brothers, Joe and Robert and a sister Betty. Joe and Robert also preceded him in death. Jack served in the army and was an electrician for 30 years on the construction crew at Adolph Coors Company.

Jack is survived by his children, Steve (Pegge), Dennis, Jacque (Buddy), John (Michelle) and Karen (Alan), by 9 grandchildren - Sarah, Megan, Ryan, Rachel, Mike, Nathan, Lauren, Jennifer, Aaron – and 9 great grandchildren with 3 more on the way. He is also survived by his sister Betty Taylor and his Aunt Sara, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who he considered family as well.

There will be a memorial for Jack on August 22, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Howe Mortuary in Longmont. He has been cremated. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Heart Association. The family would also like to thank all the people who cared for Jack these last few months. We would like to extend a special thank you to Bayada, Visiting Angels, and Halcyon – you took care of his needs and also became family.
