

James W. Brennan, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully on December 12, 2015, in Loveland, Colorado. He was born on December 11, 1943, in Torrance, California to the late Edward and June Brennan.
James graduated from Torrance High School and went on to College at San Jose State University where he played basketball and received a degree in education. Following graduation, he served in the Navy and was stationed in Hawaii. James returned to California and started a family with his loving wife Diana, in Lake Tahoe, California, where he was a teacher at North Lake Tahoe Junior High School, and taught Biology/Science and coached/refereed basketball for many years.
In 1990 James began teaching for the California Youth Correctional Facility, in Stockton, California where he continued his passion for teaching, encouraging and providing guidance to many young men. Following his retirement, he was able to move to Leander, Texas where he and his wife, Diana, enjoyed several years as members of the Austin Longhorn Corvette Club, donating their time to several community organizations and various events within the Austin Texas area.
James leaves behind family members that include his devoted wife, Diana L. Brennan; loving children Heather (Kurt) Brennan-Sandstrom of Mead, Colorado; James (Natalie) Brennan of Sacramento, California; precious grandchildren Trevor, Alex, Kate, Anna, and Lauren; siblings Edward, Colleen and Robert; as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends.
James will be honored in a private ceremony by his immediate family members on January 22, 2016. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
