
Jim was born on March 19, 1944 in Holdrege, Nebraska to Carl Kermit Lundquist and Dorothy Alice Carlson Lundquist. He moved to Longmont as a young man, attending local schools. He graduated from Longmont High School in l962.
Jim worked in the real estate market for a number of years. He was affiliated with various agencies, but largely Embassy Homes. Through his real estate involvement, he was also a member of the Longmont Realtors Association. He more recently started and operated a driver education program working as a driving instructor.
Jim was an avid reader and took particular interest in politics, government and history. He was a member of the John Birch Society. His believe and faith in his Lord Jesus Christ was paramount in Jim’s life. He adored his sons, following their interests and endeavors. He enjoyed sharing his thoughts about diverse topics with his sons, stimulating discussion and debate about current events and information he thought were important to them. In addition, he was a patriot; he loved his country and wanted it to be operated as the founding fathers proposed and documented in its infancy.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
Surviving are his sons Grant Patrick Lundquist of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Patton Lawrence Lundquist of Denver; and MacArthur Paine Lundquist of Ft. Collins.
A cremation has been entrusted to the Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 10, 2010 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Steve Schlie officiating.
