He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on June 3, 1949 to Joseph Quintanilla and Gloria Flores Quintanilla.
Jim graduated from Weber St. with a Bachelor’s degree. He graduated from Utah State University with a Master’s in Political Science. He married Nancy Shields on January 15, 2010 in Boulder.
Jim spent 30 years in the Oil and Gas business. Working his way up, he eventually provided for securing permits. He began his own business, Precision Permit Services, a number of years ago here in Boulder County.
Surviving are his wife of Longmont; his parents Joseph Quintanilla and Gloria Flores Quintanilla; three brothers Ralph Quintanilla of Mexico; Michael Quinn of Austin, Texas; and John Paul Quintanilla of San Juan, Costa Rica; two sisters Sylvia (Frank) Quintanilla-Mikan and Patricia (Phillip) Gonzalez both of Austin, Texas,
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Howe Mortuary Chapel, Longmont.
