

Janet was born on September 21, 1948 in Denver to Wesley Scott Conover and Neva Oakley. She moved to Fort Lupton, where she attended Fort Lupton and Frederick schools.
On September 12, 1964 she married the love of her life, Nunzio Chioda. Together they raised their family with total love and affection in Frederick. She was always active in her children’s lives, participating in numerous school activities allowing her to always be connected with them and their friends. She coached the Frederick High School girls JV softball team for a number of years. She took great pride in her work at a local bakery, enjoying it thoroughly. Janet was a master gardener and shared flowers with anyone who asked. Her smile radiated the life and love she lived and shared with everyone, regardless of her challenges.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband and a brother Ed Conover.
Surviving are her children; Greg (Dawn) Chioda of Erie; Cheryl (Bob Feilke) Detwiler of Frederick and Nicole (Randy) Gale of Firestone; a sister Marty (Bob) Brevig of Longmont and 6 grandchildren Tanner, Garett, Jaeden, Jasmyn, Peyton, and Carter and her beloved bloodhound “Amazing Grace.”
A visitation will be held at the St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 23. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 24 at the Church.
Interment will be held at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
