

She was born on June 17, 1930 in Boulder, Colorado to Vere Ivan and Eva Corine (Sunderland) Sparks. Jeannine had a brother, Richard (Dick) Sparks who was 2 years younger. Their mother, Corine, passed away in 1936. Her father was later remarried to Harriette (Love) Sparks. Jeannine grew up on a farm beside McCall Lake near Hygiene, Colorado. She attended Hygiene Seventh-day Adventist School during her elementary years and graduated high school from Campion Academy in Loveland, Colorado in 1948. In 1950 she completed a 2-year secretarial degree from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska where she met her husband, Bob.
Robert (Bob) Paul Chambers and Jeannine were married at the Central Seventh-day Adventist Church in Denver, Colorado on September 3, 1950. Shortly after, they moved to Redfield, South Dakota where Jeannine taught shorthand and typing at Plainview Academy from 1951-1956 along with being registrar and secretary to the principal. Their daughter, Sharon Katherine, was born on March 7, 1953. From 1956-1960, they worked at Columbia Academy in Battleground, Washington. Boulder, Colorado was the next family stop where Jeannine worked at Boulder Memorial Hospital in the physical therapy department as the secretary and receptionist. Beginning in 1968, Jeannine worked at Rhodes Bake-n-Serve in Loveland, Colorado.
Jeannine and Bob built their own home in Loveland where they lived for over 40 years. She enjoyed taking care of her rose garden and many flowers. They also had a large vegetable garden with lots of raspberries. Jeannine enjoyed cooking, baking, cake decorating, arranging flowers, and giving and receiving cards. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and helped in the children’s Sabbath School divisions for many years. Jeannine was also instrumental in forming the Campion Academy Alumni Association where she spent countless hours building a database of past graduates.
She was preceded in death by her mother, step-mother, father, husband, daughter, son-in-law Allan Christensen, and brothers Richard (Dick) Sparks and Roger Sparks.
Jeannine is survived by her grandchildren Alison Christensen of Longmont, Colorado and Cara (Daniel) Greenfield of Loveland, Colorado; her great-grandchildren Andrew, Autumn, and Alex Greenfield of Loveland, Colorado; sister Loa (Bob) Hagelgantz of Bazine, Kansas; brother Walt (Pam) of Loveland, Colorado; sister-in-laws Kay Sparks of Longmont, Colorado and Ronna Sparks of Evans, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will occur Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 10:30 AM, 950 Cleveland Ave, Loveland, CO 80537, with a reception to follow the service.
A graveside committal service will occur Monday, August 25, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Foothills Gardens of Memory, 14241 N 107th St, Longmont, CO 80504.
