
Jenifer Lynn Stone was born on August 27, 1955 in Elkhart, Indiana to Jackson & JoyceKirkwood. In recent years, she received a birth certificate that had her birthday asAugust 26. Those closest to her always thought that was a ploy to get more birthdaygifts! She was the second of five children and was a bossy mentor, nag, advocate andconfidante for her siblings. She looked out for all of them and kept them bound togetherthrough good times and bad. Jenny graduated from Duncanville High School inDuncanville, Texas, with a deep love for folk and country music.In 1981, Jenny became a mother when her son Matthew Cade was born. She was anincredible mother who sacrificed everything for her son. She spent most of her careeras a production planner for various aerospace manufacturing companies. Jenny lived inIndiana, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, Alabama, Texas and finally Colorado. She had adeep love for nature and was known to stop her car to help a slow turtle cross the roadsafely. Once a deer kissed her on the cheek - one of her favorite moments in life. Duringher first visit with Matt & Heather in Colorado, Jenny fell in love with the RockyMountains and spent her final ten months living between Boulder and Estes Park. Shedrove to the top of Mount Evans on the highest paved road in North America, activelyphotographed colorful Colorado, howled with the wolves at the wolf preserve, heard theelk rut and watched the Aspen leaves turn yellow in the fall. And she did all that in theend stage of her disease!In the summer of 2001, Jenny trusted Jesus and began following Him. She wasinvolved in the Macon Vineyard in Macon, Georgia, Life Journey Church in McKinney,Texas, and Evangel Temple & the Church of the Holy Comforter in Montgomery,Alabama. Just two weeks before her death, Jenny celebrated the Easter resurrectionwith Matt & Heather at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Longmont, Colorado. Jennydescribed God as strong, peaceful comfort and pictured eternity as perfect, peacefuland beautiful.Jenny stepped into her peace in eternity on Tuesday, April 16, 2013.She was led into eternity by her Savior Jesus and greeted by her mother Joyce andfather Jackson, many other friends and family, and her dog Tiger. One day she willwelcome into eternity her son and daughter Matt and Heather, her sisters Jeri, Toni,Pam and Mary Ann, her brother Jeff, all who miss her and her granddog Cooper.Her favorite motto was Bidden or not, God is present. Those of us who knew Jennyfelt God's presence, love and life through her. Now we rejoice that she has been madenew and whole in His strong, peaceful presence.
