Jerry Lee Bender

Jerry Lee Bender, 77, passed away on November 12, 2019 at his home in Ft. Lupton, CO with family by his side.Jerry was born in San Bernardino, CA on October 19, 1942. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Virginia (Page) Bender, sister, Loretta Boswell, and brothers, Jack Bender and Martin Bender.He left behind his children, some biological and some adopted by grace; Jerolyn Bender, Jared Bender (Lisa), Laura Tapper (Jim), Brian Bender, Gabriel Vance (Nadya), Bubba Vance and Niki Leonardis (Dave). He was a proud Papa to: Noah, Keegan, Liam, N l, Gio, CJ. and Olivia He remained very close to Carolyn (Bender) Kerr, mother of his children Jerolyn and Jared Bender.He is also survived by siblings; Daniel Bender (Carol), Ruth Ann Spielman (Leo), Virginia McCarroll (Robert), Edward Bender, Frances Hunnicutt, Lois Motzer (Christian), Charles Bender (Elaine), Terrence Bender (Pat) and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.Jerry served in the U.S. Navy at the U.S. Naval Station in San Diego, CA from 1962- 1964, as a Hospital Corpsman with an honorable discharge. He spent his life working in the construction field as an installer, remodeling, maintenance and repair.In lieu of a service, Jerry, in true form of his kind, generous spirit; requested that those closest to him have a dinner at a nice restaurant “ his treat, of course.
