Jerry Berry

Jerry Berry, 81, father, grandfather, passed away peacefully May 13, 2016 in Longmont, Colorado. He was born in Manila, Arkansas to Kendall and Thelma Isaacs Berry. The last few years Jerry enjoyed looking at the mountains from his home where he found peace of mind.

Jerry was a graduate from the University of Arkansas earning two bachelor degrees and a doctorate degree in law. He served in the U.S. Navy earning his pilots wings and a rank of Lieutenant.

While attending flight training in Pensacola, Florida, Jerry met and married Nancy Sharritt.

After military service and completing his university studies Jerry returned to Pensacola where he practiced as a CPA for a short time. After his time as a CPA Jerry was involved in several business partnerships: home building and development, restaurants, trade schools, and other investments.

While living in Pensacola Jerry developed a love for the white sandy beaches and the Gulf of Mexico where he enjoyed snorkeling, fishing and exploring. He moved to Colorado in the late 70’s for a change of pace and enjoyed hiking and exploring.

Jerry leaves behind a brother, Alan Berry; a son, Prentiss Webb Berry III (Jennifer), four grandchildren: Jessica King, Katie Urzua, Rachael Humphrey, Prentiss Webb Berry IV, and five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Nancy (March 6, 1972).

Jerry will be cremated and his ashes buried next to his wife in Pensacola at some time in the near future.
