Jerry Gene Harrington

Jerry Gene Harrington died March 28, 2012 at the Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Care Center in Greeley. He was 78 years old.He was born September 26, 1933 in Concordia, KS to Wilbur and Ruth (Peterson) Harrington. Jerry married Betty Ann Maginness on August 29, 1953 in Glenwood Springs, CO.He worked for Continental Airlines for many years, retiring in 1981 as a Reservations Manager. Following his retirement he and Betty owned and operated the Daylight Donut Shop in Loveland.Jerry enjoyed fishing, fly tying, hunting, traveling in his RV and barbequing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty on February 22, 2012, his son Bruce Harrington and son-in-law Steven Winston.Jerry is survived by his daughter Deborah Winston, daughter-in-law Ann Harrington, five grandchildren Sharon Torres, Kaitlyn Smith, Ryan Harrington, Steven Winston, Jr., and Megan Jolliff; six great grandchildren Skyler Torres, Tayva Winston, Samantha Smith, Amatiel Jolliff, Danielle Torres and Channing Smith and four brothers Jim, Jack, Wil and Tom Harrington.A visitation will be held 2:00 to 3:00pm Sunday, April 1, followed by a Celebration Service of Jerry's life beginning at 3pm at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St. Longmont. Cremation will follow at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Memorial contributions to Hospice of Northern Colorado and can be sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
