Jim graduated from City High School in Iowa City, IA, after high school he served in Vietnam. He owned ASAP Mobil Home Services for many years. Jim was kind and generous, helping anyone in need however he could.
He loved wandering the woods with his dog Toby and later his family dogs Des, Poncho, and Cracker were his buddies. Jim is survived by his brother Michael Stevens (Christy) of Iowa City, IA; sister Pamela Stevens of Denair, Ca; nephew Travis Stevens; niece Alexis VanGaalen; nephew Kaleb Neergaard.
Per Jim's wishes, no formal memorial was held. He was a kind and loving brother, uncle and friend, and as his mother always said "the bestest boy that ever lived".
