

Joan was born on May 2, 1934 in Roggen, Colorado to Thomas Klausner and Anna Linnebur. She attended schools before transferring to St. Mary’s School in Kansas, where she graduated in 1952.
Joan returns to Denver and married Richard Koldeway on February 14, 1953 in Littleton. The family moved to Longmont in 1959. She has lived in the same home in rural Weld County since 1960.
Joan was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Mead. She was previously a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Preceding her in death are her husbands, Richard Koldeway, Lee Selby, and George Summey; two sons Dale and Arnold; a grandchild Samantha Ann Garrison and 10 sisters and 3 brothers.
Surviving are eight sons; Vernon (Debbie) Koldeway of Mead; Phillip (Roxie) Koldeway of Ft. Lupton; Donald, Alan and Danny Koldeway of Longmont; David (Annette) Koldeway of Dacono; Joe (Grace) Koldeway of Longmont, Matthew Koldeway of Dacono, CO and Randy (Jackie) Selby of Chappel, Nebraska; four daughters Theresa Koldeway of Loveland; Carol (Cliff) Rogge of Mead; Katherine (Jon) Shanko of Longmont; and Mary (Roger) Schlack of Ault, CO; two sister Florence Klausner of Denver and Mary Harshbarger of Ohio; 29 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 21 from 12:00 noon until 7:00 p.m. at the Howe Mortuary, followed by a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
