Joanna Lee Macy (Firestone)

Joanna Lee Macy, 79, of Longmont, died August 5, 2013 at Longmont United Hospital. She was born October 29, 1933 in Enid, Oklahoma, the daughter of James and Elsie (LeForce) Firestone. Following her 1950 graduation from Enid High School she went on to attend Colorado State University. In 1952 she married Robert Macy and they settled on a farm north of Longmont. They were later divorced.

Joanna worked for Longs Peak Water Association as their Corporate Secretary prior to earning her realtor’s license in 1971. She had also worked as a legal secretary for the Bernard, Lyons and Gaddis Law firm for more than 20 years.

She loved to attend her grandkid’s school and sporting events and was proud to be a great grandmother.

Preceding Joanna in death are her parents James and Elsie Firestone and her son Robert Macy.

She is survived by her daughter Roberta (Harry) Lozinski; grandchildren Stephanie (Darrell) Holladay, Chris Robbie, Amy (Kevin) Willard and Adam (Alissa) Lozinski and her great grandchildren Dylan Holladay, Lucas and Liam Willard and Isiah Lozinski. Further survivors include her sister Joyce (John) Seely, her niece Elisa McCarthy and her family and her nephew John Seely and his family. She will also be missed by her extended family and many wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, August 9, 2013 at LifeBridge Christian Church with Dwight Bradshaw officiating. Burial will be at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
