Born on February 1, 1966, in Dallas, Texas, John was the beloved son of the late H.D. and Ruby Lovelace, and brother of the late Mark Alan Lovelace. He is survived by his devoted son, Johnny, his daughter Brittnee, his cherished grandchildren: Jesalyn and Greyson, three loving sisters, and many nieces and nephews who adored their “fun Uncle John.”
John’s life was not without its battles, as he struggled with mental health disease. Yet those who knew him best will remember the times when he was healthy and his true spirit shone through. His infectious grin could light up a room. He was playful, kind, and always ready to make others laugh. John was clever and resourceful solving problems and finding solutions. John was also generous with his time, often helping others whenever he could, reflecting his big heart and care for those around him.
John professed Christ as his Savior, and his family and friends take great comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of the Lord, whole and free from pain or suffering. This assurance of his eternal peace brings hope and healing to those who knew him.
For his nieces and nephews, he was the uncle who never tired of tossing kids into the pool, attempting to lift them by their ears, and inventing endless games to bring joy and laughter. His love for family and his ability to create moments of pure fun will remain treasured memories.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the friends and loved ones who sat by John’s side during his final days. A special thank you goes to the staff at TRU Community Care Hospice in Longmont, Colorado, for their compassionate care, attentiveness, and genuine concern for both John and his family, ensuring his comfort during this time.
A private memorial will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you remember John by cherishing the good moments and showing compassion to those who struggle.
