Joseph F. Buseman

J Buseman passed away at his home on Monday evening, July 28, 2014. Born to Joseph and Doris (Faye) Buseman, he lived in Morgantown and the surrounding areas until taking his first job with United Airlines in Cleveland. It was there he met his wife of 29 years, Linda Mazgaj. They have one son, Aaron Joseph, who is a senior at C College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.During his 36 year career at United, he acquired many aircraft certifications and worked as a line check airman, standards' captain, and of course a line pilot. A proud member of ALPA, he flew a B ing 747, internationally, as Captain. Although his family was his first love, he never regretted his career choice and was proud to be an airman. J also enjoyed coaching little league, basketball and going on outings with BS Troop Niwot 161, working and camping with his son until Aaron was awarded the Eagle Scout Award. He and his wife also spent many hours at Aaron's swim meets, where he was the first to volunteer when an extra hand was needed. He golfed often, always wanting to improve, and could be found on the driving range many evenings during the summer. Troop 161 also sparked a love of fly fishing. He will be sorely missed by his wife Linda, son Aaron, sister Cathi Bird, brother-in-law and family, friends, co-workers, and his beloved dog Rufus. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Longmont Humane Society in c/o Ahlberg Funberal Chapel.
