Joseph J Joe"" Trujillo

Joseph J. Trujillo “Joe”, 75, of Longmont, died October 15, 2012 at Longmont United Hospital. He was born May 22, 1937 in Mora, New Mexico, the son of Eliud and Eufalia Medina Trujillo. On October 17, 1959 he married Rosie Lujan in Longmont, CO.

Joe was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed gardening. He was proud of his children and grandchildren and enjoyed the time he could spend with them. Joe was social by nature and always enjoyed a good party, dancing and being invited for a get together. He was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church and had spent his working career in the field of construction working for a number of companies in both Longmont and Boulder. He retired in 1996 from the Fort St. Vrain Power Plant.

Survivors include his wife Rosie Trujillo and his son Joseph “Jerry” (Maria) Trujillo of Longmont, his daughters Debbie (Donald) Ashton of Three Forks, MI and Renee Trujillo of Houston, TX, his grandchildren Tara (Ron Alvarado) Martinez and Gabrielle Martinez and his great grandchildren Alex Martinez, Gabrielle, Emmanuel and Jonah Alvarado. He is further survived by three sisters Mary Ida Garcia of Greeley, CO, Beatrice McWilliams of Longmont and Yolanda Griner of San Antonio, TX and a very close friend Lee Romero and his wife Dora of Loveland, CO.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 21 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the Howe Mortuary Chapel.

Recitation of the Rosary, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 22, 2012 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont. Burial will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
