Juanita G Shonkwiler (Goolsby)

Juanita was born on November 17, 1924 in Wilmington, Illinois to Grandville P. Goolsby and Lexie Rae (Wilkins) Goolsby.

Juanita spent 78 years in Joliet, Illinois. There she was a member of the Lady Elks #287, Faith Lutheran Church (Rebecca Circle) and Holly Club. She has resided in Longmont, Colorado the past 8 years. There she has been active in the Longmont Newcomers, Women of the Elks #1055, Women of the VFW and First Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Preceding her in death are a brother William Goolsby and a sister Wanda Sheridan Lauer.

Surviving are her husband William Shonkwiler of Longmont; two daughters Jacquelyn L. (Paul) Kingsbury of Boulder and Denese (Phillip) Watts of Longmont; a sister Shirley (Edwin) Moore of Wilton Center, Illinois; a brother Grant Goolsby of Varna, Illinois; a sister in law Mary Goolsby of Joliet, Illinois; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Juanita will be missed by family and friends for she was a faithful companion supporting all of their endeavors.

A cremation has been entrusted to the Howe Mortuary and Crematory. Private services were held for family members.
