Judith Ann was born July 8, 1942, in Stafford, Kansas to Kenneth and Helen Lofland. Judy attended school in Ulysses Kansas and after graduation she married her high school sweetheart Don Winger. They eloped on December 27th, 1960, and were happily married 50 years. They moved to Longmont, Colorado with their four children, Jeff, Greg, Brian, and Amy in 1975. Judy owned the Wicks and Lather candle shop for 20 years.
She will be remembered for her love for her family, her optimism, her smile, laughter, faith, family, and friends. She was wise, funny, courageous, and generous. Judy enjoyed reading, travel, decorating, shopping, book club, lunch with friends, volunteering at Mountain States Children’s Home Thrift store, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was also a docent at the Historic Hover Home.
Judy was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. Her faith sustained her in good times and bad, and her legacy is three generations of believers who honor her for passing her convictions to those who would follow. She was strong in faith and gentle in spirit. Judy was a light - shining love, joy, and laughter to those around her.
