Kim Ann Manzella-Klein, age 77 of Berthoud, Colorado, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, June 10th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Kim was born on January 10th, 1948 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Daughter of her late parents, Gloria Young and Salvador Manzella. She had two brothers, and one sister. Salvador Junior “Sal” Manzella and Velda Manzella preceded her in death and she is survived by her youngest brother, Roy Rallo. However, she grew up alongside her many cousins in a happy, close-knit family. Kim grew up in both Louisiana and California due to her father’s role in the military.
Kim received a bachelors of science degree in counseling psychology in 1995 and a masters degree in arts in education in 2005. She utilized her prestigious education in various ways throughout her life. She began by becoming a school counselor at Our Lady Academy in Mississippi. Kim then went on to become a paralegal to accompany her then husband in his legal profession. She continued her career in education at the Fairmont Private School in Anaheim, California where she was loved by all of her students. She then furthered her passion for helping people of all ages, by founding and directing her own business as a christian counselor for Boulder Transformation Center in Boulder, Colorado. In her later years, she settled down and decided to express a more artistic side of herself and became a florist. She loved making flower arrangements with her coworkers and blessing her customers with prayers and kind words every chance she had.
Kim Ann Manzella-Klein was a beloved mother to her two sons, H. Christopher Klein who preceded her in death, and Jonathan K. Klein who she is survived by. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana and “blew her all the way to Colorado” she liked to say, where she found refuge with her family. There, she became “Nana” to her many beloved grandchildren: Samantha Smith-Klein, Joseph Poula, Michael Poula, Audrey Smith, Katie Poula, Ally Fisk, Andres Pascual, Milo Pascual, Miya Pascual, Hadyn Smith, Briston Holler, Amalea Smith, and Emily Smith who preceded her in death.
Kim loved gardening, spending time with her dogs (Keenan and Lily), being with her grandchildren, cooking, spending time with family, and going on adventures. She was an active member of City on the Hill Church and New Freedom Church. She went on mission trips and even volunteered for the Red Cross. She was known to be a powerhouse for God. Kim Ann Manzella Klein was an extraordinarily giving woman, with a uniquely positive and energetic presence.
